Cutting Board DIY Kit
The 6in x 12in Charcuterie Board
Simply order through Amazon, no saw necessary.
If you know you want to make several of these boards, I would recommend purchasing the orbital sander to streamline your process. Sanding is the most time consuming portion of the project.
Precut Wood Bundle (Pick 1):
If you do not own a saw, make sure you buy the same length wood if you’re mixing and matching:
Maple ($13)
Walnut ($14)
Purple Heart ($17)
Clamps:
2 clamps ($11 Each)
2 steel pipes for clamps. Make sure the pipes are 1/2 in in diameter to match the clamps ($7 each)
Wood Glue:
One bottle of Gorilla Glue is enough for 1 board ($3) or Titebond Glue (food grade safe claim - $7.50)
Sanding Tool:
If you plan on making 1 cutting board, a manual Hand Sander will work (Free, but will take time).
If you plan on making multiple boards, I would recommend a basic Electric Orbital sander ($25) or DeWalt orbit sander ($60).
If you plan on starting a business and mass produce, I would recommend an electric planer or drum sander ($$$).
Sand Paper:
2 pieces of 80 Grit ,
2 pieces of 120 Grit ,
2 pieces of 220 Grit,
1 piece of 320 Grit (optional).
Purchase this pack of sand paper for either the orbital sander or manual sander.
Cutting Board Oil:
Industry standard Oil ($9) or Walrus Oil ($9): Both are great!
Industry standard Wax ($9) or Walrus Wax ($10)
